On the morning of May 7, the Ningbo University Health Science Center organized a special training session on hazardous chemical safety education. More than 70 faculty members and students involved in the use and management of hazardous chemicals in laboratories participated in the training, which was conducted by Jiang Wenwen, a safety officer from the Laboratory and Asset Management Department.

During the training, Jiang Wenwen combined typical cases of laboratory safety accidents to introduce institutional documents such as the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals and Prevention and Emergency Measures for Hazardous Chemical Accidents in Laboratories. She detailed various safety hazards caused by the improper storage of hazardous chemicals, the usage methods and precautions of the hazardous chemical platform management system. Meanwhile, regarding the management of controlled hazardous chemicals, she introduced relevant regulations and emphasized the laws, regulations, and penalty measures strictly prohibiting individuals from privately purchasing controlled hazardous materials. Through analysis of typical accident cases and common issues in laboratory safety management, she provided warning education and imparted knowledge on standardized management to the attendees. She also required laboratory personnel to attach great importance to safety norms, master operational knowledge proficiently, and ensure the safe and stable operation of laboratories.

After the training, an on-site assessment was conducted to reinforce the training outcomes.
